I just put the California Scientific windshield on my new 2016 Honda CB500X ABS. Installation was trivial. And, with my poor, beaten up, arthritic hands, installations are never "trivial". Bravo. But, wait. I headed out to find out just how well it performed. Wow! My first though was, "Damn my engine sounds strange." Then I realized I was going 55 mph, and heard NO wind, none. I was finally hearing the engine and tires on the road that had always been masked by wind noise. The ONLY time I picked up ANY wind sounds was when the wind came from the side. (Only a cage with stop that.) Even at 65 mph, there was no, NO, wind in my face or ears. Then I realized that my helmet's visor/windscreen was UP, still. I'd never ridden above 35 mph without lowering the helmet windshield. But, with the California Scientific windshield, I'm leaving my visor up, cooler and much better vision. (I probably ought to look into a pair of goggles to keep the bugs out of my eyes, now.) Maybe I'll actually be able to hear my Sena comm system and music now. I wonder how the windshield will perform in the rain. I bet practically all of the rain will just flow up and over. 5 stars - highly recommend to a friend.
